Indian Railways has approved two new MEMU train services connecting the city of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh to Khurja and Saharanpur. These services will provide passengers with additional commuting options and are expected to improve rail connectivity between Meerut, Khurja, and Saharanpur.
The new services will operate as Train No. 64573/64574 Khurja–Meerut City MEMU and Train No. 64580/64579 Saharanpur–Meerut City MEMU, and will stop at all stations along their respective routes. This will provide passengers with direct access to a greater number of stations for travel along these routes.
Under the new schedule, Train No. 64573 Khurja–Meerut City MEMU will leave Khurja at 1:15 PM and reach Meerut City at 5:20 PM, with a journey time of 4 hours and 5 minutes. On the return journey, Train No. 64574 Meerut City–Khurja MEMU will depart Meerut City at 11:25 AM and arrive in Khurja at 4:00 PM, taking 4 hours and 35 minutes.
The other MEMU service will operate between Saharanpur and Meerut City. Train No. 64580 Saharanpur–Meerut City MEMU will leave Saharanpur at 5:50 AM and reach Meerut City at 8:10 AM, covering the route in 2 hours and 20 minutes. In the return direction, Train No. 64579 Meerut City–Saharanpur MEMU will depart Meerut City at 5:45 PM and arrive in Saharanpur at 8:40 PM.
These two MEMU services will provide passengers with additional travel options between Meerut City, Khurja and Saharanpur. With scheduled stops at stations along these routes, the services are expected to benefit daily commuters and strengthen rail connectivity in Western Uttar Pradesh.
